TRINIDAD AND TOBAGO ELECTRICITY COMMISSION (T&TEC)

The Trinidad and Tobago Electricity Commission (T&TEC) was established as a Statutory Authority in 1946 and operates under the Trinidad and Tobago Electricity Commission Act Chapter 54:70 which was amended in 1994 to allow for the partial divestment of its generation assets. T&TEC now has sole responsibility for the transmission and distribution of electricity throughout Trinidad and Tobago.

   

NEL POWER HOLDINGS LIMITED (NPHL)

NEL Power Holdings Limited is a subsidiary of National Enterprises Limited (NEL), in which NEL retains a 90% interest. NEL is an investment holding company with interests in food, energy and telecommunications.

   

MARUENERGY TRINIDAD, LLC

MaruEnergy Trinidad, LLC is a wholly owned subsidiary of Marubeni Corporation of Japan. Marubeni Corporation operates in fairly diversified industries with a strong focus on power sector investment. Marubeni has built over 112,000 megawatts (MW) of generating plant around the world. In Japan and overseas the Marubeni Corporation currently owns a total net generation capacity of 12,193MW (as of December 2021).
